Calligraphy:
4 Years of Letterforms
Over four years, I studied calligraphy, ink making,
and bookbinding under master calligrapher Myrna
Rosen before her retirement.
My training included blackletter, foundational hand,
English roundhand, italic, and other historical scripts,
using a wide range of pen nibs and holders. This
practice grounded my understanding of typography
in physical process, patience, and craft, shaping how
I approach letterforms in my design work today.
